Genuine partnerships contribute to building belonging
Prescott was excited when Hire for Talent reached out to us about filming a piece on inclusive employment and the partnerships we build with local businesses. Right away, we thought of Two Crows Brewing. Our work together on the Brewing Belonging sparkling water and lager has been such a strong example of what real inclusion looks like.
We pitched the idea to Hire for Talent, and it was approved quickly. Two Crows, as always, jumped in with a yes. They have been a steady partner in promoting inclusive hiring. They show up at conferences, speak on panels, and never hesitate to support the people we work with.
For the video, we highlighted Two Crows team members Liam Johnson and Jennifer Richardson. Both of them were eager to share what their jobs mean to them. They’ve each been with Two Crows for more than five years and bring so much positivity and pride to their roles.
Jeremy Taylor, the featured partner at Two Crows Brewing, deserves his own spotlight. He has been a steady champion for Jennifer, Liam, and Prescott from day one. Jeremy shows up. He advocates. He creates space. And he backs inclusive employment with real action, not just words. Anytime we call, he’s there ready to step up, support the team, and push this work forward. The impact he’s had on this partnership and on the confidence of the people we support is massive.
Filming folks with abilities in the workplace
Filming started early at the Two Crows Barrington Street brewery. The team walked through the whole brewing process from ingredients to canning, with Charlene Kuhn, our Community Engagement and Employment Manager, on site for interviews and support. After an entire morning of filming, the team headed to Yeah Yeah’s Pizza in Halifax’s north end, another Two Crows location, to wrap up the day over pizza and more conversation.
This video reflects what can happen when businesses open their doors, trust people’s abilities, and build genuine partnerships. It was a day filled with passion, purpose, and community.
